I am offering PhD projects in experimental fluid dynamics involved with numerous different problems of fundamental and applied nature. Whenever feasible the projects include a computational and/or theoretical component. In recent years many studies focused on issues such as vortex stability, boundary-layer flows, granular flows, particle-laden flows and oceanographic flows. To get an overview of some typical past and present problems I have been involved with over the last ten years please refer to the following web page: http://www.eng.warwick.ac.uk/staff/pjt/flowpics.html
More detailed information on the areas of my research can also be obtained by reference to my publications available at: http://www.eng.warwick.ac.uk/staff/pjt/pubs.html
Most studies described on the above web pages are ongoing and new PhD projects in the areas can be defined together with interested applicants.
Note: Should your application for admission be accepted you should be aware that this does not constitute an offer of financial support. Please refer to the scholarships & funding pages.
