Chrysoula's doctoral research topic is about the experimental investigation and engineering modeling of the morphological evolution of natural cliffs subject to progressive retreat induced by weathering and climatic variations. In particular, she aims to include the effect of ground water variations and tension cracks in the current models for cliff retreat (Utili and Crosta, 2011 ). Her work is both experimental and analytical.
Chrysoula holds a Civil Engineering Diploma from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master of Science in Water Resources Science and Technology from National Technical University of Athens. She has been a Research Fellow at the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering of the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens since April 2010. In October 2012 she joined the School of Engineering of the University of Warwick as a PhD student.
