James Atkinson is currently studying in the first year of a PhD in Image Processing in the Image Processing and Expert Systems (IPES) Laboratory at the University of Warwick.

James studied Systems Engineering with Computer Engineering at the University of Warwick (MEng).

Aim: to research an aective system that involves automated analyses of facial expression,
body expression and hand gesture.
Objectives: to develop an eective aect recognition framework (using C++/MATLAB) that incorporates a novel view
invariant facial and body expression recognition system with an existing hand gesture recognition algorithm.
