Warwick also has International Office staff or agents based in a number of countries including: China, India, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia & Kazakhstan, Singapore, Syria, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda and the United Arab Emirates.
For more information on our International staff based in these countries, please visit our International Office
We accept students from all over the world, and offering a range of qualifications. Our entry requirements page lists a range of internationally accepted qualifications and gives our typical entrance requirements. If you are offering other qualifications please contact our admission tutor: ug-admissions at eng dot warwick dot ac dot uk who will be able to advise you on their acceptability. As with other UK universities, all applications for undergraduate courses at Warwick must come through UCAS (see the section on How to apply).
Our overseas offices’ representatives and network of local agents provide information, counselling, and guidance to highly motivated and academically excellent students seeking admission to the University of Warwick. The authority to assess an application or to offer a place to an applicant rests only with the University of Warwick. No other organisation or individual has the authority to offer a place to study on a University of Warwick programme. If in any doubt, please contact the University directly. Please note: Authority to issue a student visa rests solely with the UK Border Agency.
Listen to James, an international student from Kenya, talk about his time studying engineering at Warwick.
Support from the International Office
To assist and support our students from overseas we have one of the largest and most active International Offices of any University in the UK. This helps students during their application to Warwick, as they prepare to come to the UK, and during their time here. The International Office also provides a range of Scholarships to assist students studying at Warwick.
The School of Engineering offers modules in the principle branches of engineering: Automotive, Civil, Electronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical and Systems. The School is generally happy for visiting students to take any of the modules offered within our undergraduate degrees, subject to considerations of prerequisite knowledge and timetabling constraints. However, our three term academic year places some limits on when modules are available. For this reason, visiting students are normally only accepted for a full academic year or, in the case of our Exchange partners, from January to June inclusive.
- Year one and year two modules run throughout the year and are therefore only available to students visiting for the full year. These modules are also large in nature, each corresponding to 25% of a full academic year, and so selecting these modules will restrict your choice in other areas.
- Third and fourth year modules are normally smaller in nature and often represent 12.5% of an academic year's load. These modules will often run in a single term (term 1, term 2 or term 3) but will sometimes be taught over several terms.
- The schedules for the modules will vary from year to year and students are advised to seek guidance at the time of their application. All students taking any engineering modules must be resident at the University for all of the Summer term (from April to the end of June).
Further details of the engineering modules available can be found at the School of Engineering
