Frequently Asked Questions

How do I obtain personal protective equipment (PPE)?

Our approved supplier 'Murray Uniforms' who will be available in the School (Room F105/6) on 2nd and 3rd October for you to purchase any PPE you require. Health and safety is a paramount consideration for engineers and you will be expected to follow best practice from the outset, which includes wearing safety footwear in engineering laboratories and workshops.

My arrival in the UK is delayed, how late can I join the course?

We recognise that international students may experience delays due to the visa process or other circumstances. Whilst wishing to support students who find themselves in this situation, we must also be mindful of the impact of the delay on the individual and their fellow students. We will therefore allow students to arrive up to and no later than 14 days after the start of term. If you are delayed beyond this period we will defer your offer of a place to the following academic year. If your arrival is delayed please keep us informed of your intended date of arrival.
