Alexander Kister

Academic life before MASDOC.

Before I came to Warwick, I studied at the FH Regensburg and TU Munich.

Current Work

I am currently in the first year of a PhD under the guidance of Stefan Adams, Stefan Grosskinsky and Hendrik Weber. I work on stochastic interface models. This models try to contribute to the understanding of how the interface between two distinct phases of a material (for example between liquid and solid water at zero temperature) look like. The class of models I look at are based in statistical mechanics. One of this models leads to integrated random walks.

Msc Dissertation 2012

In my MSc dissertation, supervised by Neil O'Connell, I studied Loop-Erased Random Walks and Schramm-Loewner-Evolutions.
