Our next Open Day has not yet been organised, but MASDOC is happy to discuss opportunities on the programme and arrange visits for all interested candidates. To arrange a visit contact Deborah Walker at the email address below.
Open Days are intended for final-year undergraduate students who are interested in funded PhD research in the Mathematical Sciences. Anyone wishing to visit the department will be very welcome by prior arrangement.
Normally, Open Days consist of talks from Warwick academics and current students, and an opportunity to interact with a wide range of researchers.
12.00 onwards Registration (Mathematics common Room, first floor, Zeeman Building)
12.30 Lunch with an opportunity to chat to academic staff and MASDOC students
1.30 Presentation by the MASDOC Director of Studies
2.00 Talk by a MASDOC student
2.15 onwards tea and informal chat with MASDOC students and staff, as well as individual informal information sessions.
Anyone wishing to attend the open day should register their attendance. Reasonable UK travel expenses for participants (for example, UK standard class rail with receipts) will be reimbursed. The event will take place in the Zeeman building, which houses both the Mathematics Institute and the Department of Statistics.
