Memorial Meeting for William Parry, FRS

Ergodic Theory: topics arising from the work of William Parry, FRS

Thursday 17 and Friday 18 May 2007

A two day meeting on Ergodic Theory will be held at Warwick University dedicated to the memory of Professor William Parry, FRS. The meeting will take place in the Mathematics Institute, Zeeman Building, with talks beginning at 11:30 on Thursday, with coffee available from 10:00. The international speakers will include:

  • Hillel Furstenberg (Jerusalem)
  • Klaus Schmidt (Vienna)
  • Jean-Paul Thouvenot (Paris)


Anyone interested is welcome to attend. There will be a dinner in the Common Room on the Thursday evening. Support for this meeting from the London Mathematics Society is gratefully acknowledged.
