Hydrophobic Effects In Colloids

During my biophysical chemistry project I observed the self assembly of amphiphilic diblock copolymers into bilayer type structures. These folded into spherical vesicle like structures referred to as polymersomes. I allowed two monodisperse samples of charged latex polystyrene beads to adsorb onto the surface of these polymersomes and imaged these using cryo electron microscopy. We then compared these to energy minimisation simulations of the same system. The project is outlined in full in my report.
