Welcome to my online e-portfolio.

About Me

Having completed my Masters in Mathematical Biology and Biophysical Chemistry with MOAC, I am now working on my joint PhD with Dr M.I.Gibson (Department of Chemistry) and Dr Elizabeth Fullam (School of Life Sciences) investigating synthetic methodologies to understand receptor-ligand interactions in pathogenic mycobacteria.

Education

I undertook my initial degree in Biology at the University of East Anglia 2007-2010. I conducted my dissertation in Dr Michael Wormstone's lab, researching the effects of the ER-stress pathway on Human Lens Epithelial cells and its potential use in post-capsular opacification therapy.

I initially came to the University of Warwick to study post-graduate medicine but decided to continue my research in a multidisciplinary manner through my current combined MSc + PhD programme in Mathematical Biology and Biophysical Chemistry. Following completion of the MSc in September 2013 (awarded in March 2014) I am now conducting my combined PhD under the supervision of Dr M.I.Gibson (Department of Chemistry) and Dr Elizabeth Fullam (School of Life Sciences) which remain my current focus.

Interests

My current interests is in the development of synthetic methodologies to understand receptor-ligand interactions in pathogenic mycobacteria.
