Matteo Brogi

I am an assistant professor in the Astronomy and Astrophysics group at the University of Warwick.

I observe the atmospheres of planets orbiting other stars (exoplanets) with the aim of determining their properties, such as chemical composition and thermal structure. Characterizing exoplanets is the key to understanding how they form and evolve. I am developing observational techniques that will be used in the future to target habitable planets and recognize potential signatures of life.

Please have a look at my personal webpage for more information about my research.

PhD opportunities

I am looking for a motivated PhD student to start in late 2018 on the characterisation of exoplanet atmospheres at high spectral resolution. See here for more information.
