Web-Based Interactive Tools for Plasma Physics Education & Research

tokaanimated.gif

The Warwick Plasma Calculator (WPC) is an ongoing project to develop and maintain interactive web-based tools that appeal both to students for educational purposes as well as to scientists who wish to make a quick calculation in support of their research. Everyone is welcome to use these tools but we do ask that when you use our material in publications or presentations you acknowledge us by mentioning the Warwick Plasma Calculator and our website.
We do not take responsability for any potential errors that may affect your work.
These tools require that JAVA is installed on your computer and enabled in your web browser (see our troubleshooting page for further instructions).

News
The Warwick Plasma Calculator (WPC) site has been launched! WPC is created and maintained at the Centre for Fusion, Space and Astrophysics at the Physics Department of the University of Warwick.

The WPC team

  • Dr Erwin Verwichte: Academic member of staff in Physics specialised in solar and MCF plasma physics.
  • Ms Julia Branke: Professional software developer.

Thanks to Mr Jan Graf Van der Pahlen who has helped develop the plasma wave tool during a Summer Undergraduate Project.

Please direct questions and feedback to Erwin.Verwichte (at) warwick.ac.uk or leave a comment. Any requests for changes cannot be incorporated immediately but will be considered at the next version update.

WPC is part of the Centre for Fusion, Space and Astrophysics and acknowledges funding from an EPSRC Science and Innovation Award. WPC is also part of the European Fusion Education Network FUSENET.
