Yaoqi Cao

I am Yaoqi Cao, a PhD first year student in EPP group. I obtained my MPhil degree from the University of Manchester with a thesis focused on the systematic uncertainties in the search for sub-GeV dark matter via the MicroBooNE detector. Additionally, during 2020-2021, I also worked as a research assistant at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where I participated in research related to the time projection chamber (TPC) of the PandaX III experiment. My PhD thesis will focuse on the measurement of GeV-neutrinos originating from the Earth's atmosphere at the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO).

JUNO is presently in its construction phase, with data collection slated to commence in 2024. The primary mission of JUNO is to probe the neutrino mass hierarchy. In my future work, the collected data from JUNO will undergo comprehensive analysis, allowing for the extraction of detailed information regarding incoming neutrinos. The outcome of this research will contribute to determine neutrino mass ordering.
