Sleep and Pain Laboratory

sleep lab

The Warwick Sleep and Pain Laboratory is a research facility located at the Department of Psychology. The lab is home to a dynamic group of researchers interested in the science and clinical aspects of sleep and pain, and more broadly, the general association between sleep and health. Our research group has expertise in clinical psychology, health psychology, physiotherapy and nursing. The type of research we do is multidisciplinary in nature and we apply both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

An important goal of our research is to inform treatment development and clinical practice. We have collaborative links with the Clinical Trials Unit at the Warwick Medical School, the pain and IAPT (Talking therapies) services of the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire, and the Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust. These links provide us a platform for the research-clinical translation.
