About WCUS

The Warwick Centre for Ultrafast Spectroscopy is a cutting edge, femtosecond laser facility, with a range of experiments for studying molecules and materials across a broad spectrum and in a variety of environments. The facility consists of a Spectra-Physics 13 W, 1 kHz, 40 fs laser system split into four individually compressed beam lines to serve four unique experiments: ultraviolet pump / white light probe transient absorption spectroscopy; ultraviolet pump / infrared probe transient absorbtion spectroscopy; optical pump / terahertz probe time domain spectroscopy; and terahertz pump / terahertz probe time domain spectroscopy.
