Our BEng and MEng engineering courses are delivered collaboratively with the School of Engineering, providing access to the very best expertise and facilities.

Full-time Undergraduate
Cyber Security

Cyber security seeks to enable the good and prevent the bad in cyber space. For you to contribute to this task, you will learn a broad range of theory and practice on a course fully certified by NCSC, a part of GCHQ. Most things will be viewed from two perspectives: what should happen, and what does happen. Many cyber security challenges lurk in this gap between concept and reality. Explore prevalent cyber security topics in the context of software engineering, programming languages, human-computer interaction, and managing and securing information.

Student-led projects
Helping students develop

WMG supports a variety of undergraduate student-led projects with direct connections to industry partners, demonstrating the breadth and depth of skills that our students apply both individually and collaboratively as part of teams. Each project is supported by PhD students, academics, technicians, and industry sponsors.

From Formula Student and locomotive engineering to advanced robotics and electric superbike development, the projects develop students by teaching time management, risk management, group working, and giving practical hands-on experience.

Degree Apprenticeships

Work-based learning

Bringing together the best of higher education and work-based learning, we’ve developed apprenticeship programmes with our industry partners for undergraduates and postgraduates that deliver expert insights and engaging learning experiences, allowing you to apply academic learning whilst working on live projects to increase professional competency. We’ve also created bespoke programmes such as the Dyson Engineering Degree, and we’re always keen to develop more.

We asked some of our Degree Apprentices why they chose this route, hear what they say and their top tips for applying.
