'Understanding Culture for Work' is an interactive online course which aims to help people develop the skills needed to work in today's globalised world. Developed by staff at the University of Warwick, in partnership with the British Council Japan, the course is available as a standalone e-learning course.
The online course contains a variety of resources, such as video extracts, audio recordings, and explanatory talks, all of which are accompanied by a variety of interactive tasks and activities. All our intercultural examples are authentic – they were either experienced by one of the authors, or else they were collected through our research interviews.
The module takes about 5 hours to work through carefully.
Other Global TIES modules currently being finalised are: 'Working in Global Teams' and 'Becoming a Global Leader'.
