Research Interests

Use of corpus linguistics in EAP and language teaching, uses of technology in language teaching and learning, the writing of second language learners, peer review and video feedback.

Biography

Tilly Harrison contributes to teaching of Information and Communication Technologies related to English Language Teaching, as well as linguistics, language skills, ELT materials and development and English for Academic Purposes. Her international experience has involved teaching English in France, Spain, Sierra Leone and Japan and she has extensive lecturing and supervisory experience in linguistics and computer-assisted language learning. Her research interests are the use of corpus linguistics in EAP and language teaching, and the writing of second language learners. She has been actively involved in BAAL (British Association of Applied Linguistics) for many years and was Chair of the Local Organising Committee for the BAAL Annual Meeting held at Warwick in September 2014. She is also a long-standing member and supporter of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) and is currently a member of their Membership Committee.
