Economics 360: Dr Kanayo Nwanze

Dr Kanayo Nwanze, President of The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), speaks as part of our Economics 360 lecture series. Dr Nwanze will talk about International Development and will address policies to alleviate poverty.

"The Cost of Inaction"

Date: Thursday 22nd January 2015
Time: 4.30pm-5.45pm
Location: Room IMC0.02 (International Manufacturing Centre)

Dr. Nwanze will make the case that if we are serious about ending under nutrition and hunger, and narrowing the gap between the worlds richest and poorest, we must transform the often neglected, rural areas of the developing world since they are home to 75 per cent of the world's poorest people.

Registration is not compulsory for this event. Please arrive from 4pm onwards, specifically first year students whose attendance needs to be monitored for the Personal Development Module. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
