Law and the Global Community

Warwick Law School has a long and proud tradition of looking at law in a wider social context. In its Law and the Global Community initiatives it puts this approach to learning and research into practice. These initiatives operate locally, nationally and internationally.

Warwick Law School in India

Over the years, Warwick Law School has developed various exciting collaborative activities with Indian colleagues at a variety of universities including, The University of Delhi, JNU and a number of the national Law Schools.

The Human Rights Centre

The Centre for Human Rights in Practice undertakes a wide variety of research, capacity-building and other project work aimed at promoting human rights globally, nationally and in our local community. Our work includes student-led initiatives, and collaborations with renowned human rights organisations.

The Multi-cultural Scholars' Programme

This project aims to educate very bright students from non-traditional backgrounds to achieve their true potential by providing a supportive environment and the opportunity to succeed.

Academic Links

The Law School has many formal and informal academic links with law schools throughout the World. In particular, our links with African, Asian and Latin American Universities has enabled us to engage in mutually beneficial research and educational development with our international partners.

East African Law Schools

The deep and strong connections between Warwick Law School and the East African legal education were affirmed at the recent celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of the University of Dar es Salaam.

The Ethiopia Project

As part of its commitment to an international approach to legal education Warwick Law School has entered into a five year capacity building project to help develop postgraduate legal education in Ethiopia.
