Dr Andreas Kokkinis: Life on the International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation LLM

Corporate Finance Class 24 Nov 2014As the Director of the International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation LLM I am very happy to share with you my thoughts and experience of the School’s postgraduate programmes. We have a wonderfully diverse group of students, some from the UK but most from abroad, some who are bringing years of professional experience and others who have joined just after their LLB. Teaching postgraduate students and supervising LLM dissertations has been a great pleasure for me, both emotionally rewarding and intellectually stimulating. Having myself started my academic career after reading an LLM in the UK coming from abroad, I fully appreciate that your LLM is a crucial part of your personal development and will be doing my very best to help you make the most of it!

I would strongly recommend choosing Warwick as your first choice to read your LLM for a number of reasons. First and foremost, all Warwick LLM Programmes offer a wide range of exciting modules which are developed by staff who are actively researching on the relevant areas. At Warwick, the dissertation is a major component of postgraduate studies and students receive detailed individual supervision during term 3 from a member of staff expert in their chosen area. You will be benefiting from the ability to attend our Postgraduate Seminars, Staff Research Seminars, and University Public Lectures as well as from a number of events organised by the various research centres of the School or by other Social Science Departments.
