LLM in ICGFR 2010-2011
After completing my LLB at the University of West London I wanted to do a unique Master in international Laws. I did extensive research and came to the best conclusion: I would undertake a prestigious LLM at the University of Warwick in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation. This is one of the best courses one can ever do; a combination of laws and finance in an international legal framework. It gives you a great knowledge in various areas as a jurist.
The University of Warwick is a great place to meet new people from different backgrounds and countries. You will come across some young students who have come straight from their LLB or other undergraduate subjects, but you will also meet some professional lawyers and businessmen with many years’ experience who have returned to education for a year. Thus this is an asset for both the university and the students, as they can benefit from each other's knowledge and experience.
Where are they now?
After graduation I got the job I always dreamt of! My role is not law related, but the LLM really helped me to get a senior job/position as a journalist. I have been working in the UK for more than a year as a journalist and I have interviewed many British Politicians including Georg Galloway and Jack Straw.
All I can say is… Thank you Warwick!
