LLM in ICGFR 2012-2014
I chose Warwick because it offered a wide range of modules which were both academic and practical which was important to me as I wanted both. This, combined with the excellent reputation of both the University and the Law School, convinced me to study there.
As I am in full time employment as a solicitor and a director/company secretary of a major public company, I undertook the course on a part-time basis over two years and I would encourage anyone to give it a go, as it is possible to choose modules that fit into your diary and the University were very helpful on this front.
The people - both the lecturers and the students. I was greatly impressed by the professionalism and knowledge of the lecturers and the incredible diversity of the students. I made a lot of new friends, learnt a lot and it sharpened up my mind and also allowed me to share some of my views. It also reminded me how competitive I am! The facilities are excellent including the IT.
Where are they now?
I am still doing the day job but with extra insight and perspective on governance and company law and have recently started my PhD part-time, on whistleblowing in corporate Britain, at Warwick of course.
