Why Warwick?

My year at Warwick was undoubtedly one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The LLM Programme I studied, International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation, not only reinforced my knowledge regarding the legal framework in which corporations operate internationally, but it also engaged my interest and enhanced my understanding of the origins and development of the current global financial crisis. A greatly interesting experience was that through our discussions on the topic of the current financial crisis we saw different perspectives and interpretations, from people who came from Greece, Italy, Ireland, the UK, India and China to name but a few, who were either experiencing the crisis or were uncertain if they would do so as well.

Providing flexibility in the choice of modules, the LLM programme gave the opportunity to those who wanted to explore a broader picture of the legal-business world to do so, or for others to focus their studying on the commercial aspects of international trade or the financial aspects.

Best Bits!

A year at Warwick was an excellent opportunity to meet people from all over the world, from various kinds of cultures, and discuss the diverse legal systems of many countries. Most importantly, since my class was constituted of a mixture of professionals and students who continued their studies straight after their undergraduate degree, it was certainly a great opportunity, for us students, to engage our theory-based knowledge with their practical work experiences, and discuss the modules from another perspective.

Where are they now?

Currently I am working at a corporate law firm and I can confidently say that my studies at Warwick, have facilitated my access to, and provided me with all the necessary tools to respond to the challenges of the professional world. The perfect combination of academic excellence and an inspiring environment offered at the University of Warwick is exactly what I was searching for. Hard work and dedication, as well as an excellent academic background are the key tools for having a successful professional career.
