Hello and welcome to my ePortfolio. I am currently doing a PhD at the School of Law and my thesis title is "Multilateralising Regionalism: Prospects for inputing a development agenda in the WTO." You can read more about my research in my research page.
I completed an undergraduate degree in Economics at Swarthmore College in the U.S.A then completed an M.Sc. in economics at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, where I focused on the development needs and policies of small, open economies. Subsequently I pursued another postgraduate degree at the University of Toronto where I had my first opportunity to study the legal aspects of trade agreements. I therefore embarked on my study of the legal nature of trade, first pursuing an LL.M in International Law at the University of Glasgow before finally ending up here. While my husband refers to me as a professional student, I have had opportunities to be involved in some interesting projects for the Inter-American Development Bank, the Canadian Government, DFID, and the Home Office.
When not studying, I can usually be found entertaining or being entertained by my two children, Tenison and Marennah (both of whom are quite familiar with the Warwick main library).
The most interesting organisations of which I am a member include SIEL
