Research Interests

Barbara's research interests focus on the Common Commercial Policy of the EU and EU External Relations, Anti-Dumping, European and International Trade Law, WTO Law, EU Economic Law, EU Constitutional Law and Public International Law. Currently she is looking at the "Community interest test" in EU trade defence instruments.


Barbara Nastoll joined the law School in September 2013 as the DAAD Lecturer. Before joining Warwick she worked as an Assistant Professor (Akademischer Rat) at the Chair for Constitutional and Administrative Law, European Law, European and International Economic Law at the University of Passau. Barbara studied Law at the University of Passau and at King's College London and completed her practical legal training (Referendariat) at the regional appeal court (OLG) in Munich. She holds a First and Second State Exam in Law awarded by the State of Bavaria and a Diploma in Legal Studies (with distinction) awarded by King's College London.
