Research Interests

Charlotte's research interests lie in cultural heritage law. She has written articles on the restitution and repatriation of objects from museum collections. She has a particular interest in the work of the Spoliation Advisory Panel and the legal and self-imposed moral obligations under which museums act in their dealings with their collections and with the people they serve. She also has an interest in the concept of unfair terms and exclusion clauses within contract law.

Previously City Solicitors' Educational Trust Lecturer (Contract Law). Charlotte serves as a member of the Museums Association Ethics Committee. Charlotte is the Law School's Director of Student Support and Wellbeing (Senior Tutor)
