The slides from Justin's 2012 induction are now available below. They are best viewed using Microsoft Powerpoint 2010 in order for the videos to work properly, and are approximately 70 - 80Mb each.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS) at the University of Warwick and to congratulate you on your success!
I am the Director of Student Experience (DSEP) within PAIS and my role, along with other colleagues in the Department, is to help ensure you have a valuable and productive student experience and to offer support in terms of academic progression, study skills and employability.
The Departmental Induction for first years will take place at 5pm on Monday 1st October in room MS.01 (Maths and Statistics Building). Although it is timetabled for two hours, don't worry, we will do our best to keep it to around one hour!
The induction will give you a great deal of useful information for the year ahead - and for that reason I have been asked to inform you that the Department will require you to attend (and attendance sheets will be circulated on the day).
Rest assured, I will be working hard with colleagues to make it as informative and engaging as possible for you!
If you should have a good reason for being unable to attend, please contact Charlotte Lewis (Charlotte.Lewis@warwick.ac.uk), the Undergraduate Secretary, outlining the reason why you are unable to be there.
Charlotte will also be emailing you separately within the next few days with some helpful information on selecting your outside option. Please do read the email she sends carefully as I believe it will be of great assistance.
I very much look forward to meeting you in person and working with you over the three years of your degree in PAIS.
Director of Student Experience and Progression, PAIS.
