Current PhD candidate

As a mature student, I was apprehensive about returning to full time education. PAIS helped me make the right choice to pursue the MA in International Relations but given my passion for US foreign policy was also able to offer me modules that ensured I had a thorough grounding in both theory and application, before I attempted to do a PhD. Having completed my MA in 2014, have now started my PhD at Warwick in US foreign policy, as an ESRC Scholarship student. All this has been possible through the active support of my tutors and the department who have encouraged, cajoled and supported through the whole process to ensure that I was ready and trained to undertake my PhD.

The tutors are available either by email or on a face-to-face basis and the pastoral care given to students is excellent. Obviously it is also great fun to study at Warwick with outstanding world-class research facilities. It does not matter whether you are old or young, what you have got to do is to have passion for studying politics and international affairs, and given the diversity of module & degree choices you will achieve your aim.
