I studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford, concentrating on the latter two. I pursued postgraduate study at Nuffield College, Oxford, before joining the Warwick department as a lecturer in 1976. I am a Professor of Politics.

I studied Social and Political Sciences at King's College Cambridge before doing an MA in War Studies at King's College, London and then a PhD in Political Theory at New York University. Prior to coming to PAIS I taught at the London School of Economics & Political Science. My primary areas of research are political theory and ethics, with interests in epistemology and the Philosophy of economics.

I studied Philosophy at the University of Reading. My doctoral thesis was on the topics of Fairness, Moral Demands and Global Poverty and I continue to focus my research on Fairness and also on questions of distributive justice. Before joining Warwick, I lectured in Moral and Political philosophy at Cardiff University.

I am responsible for managing and developing the PPE Office and supporting our co-directors in providing an excellent service to students, applicants, staff and alumni.

The PPE Office is located on the first floor of the Social Sciences building in room S1.63.

The office is open in term time:
Monday 8.00am–4.00pm
Tuesday 8.00am–4.00pm
Wednesday 8.00am–4.00pm
Thursday 8.00am–4.00pm
Friday 8.00am–3.00pm
