All poster designs should be submitted online and must comply with the Rules of Entry. All submissions must be made by midnight, 12 July 2017. Up to 30 submissions will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Printing will be carried out by Warwick Print and the costs of printing one poster per applicant will be covered by the University of Warwick.
Submitted posters will be displayed and voting will take place in two separate forums:
IUKSN Facebook page
The poster will be displayed on the IUKSN Facebook page from 17 to 26 July 2017, where visitors will be able to vote for a 'people's choice' winner. Visitors to the page can vote once for only one poster.
On Thursday, 27 July 2017, all posters will be displayed in the atrium of the University of Warwick Arts Centre, during the proceedings of the ISIC-SI symposium. Authors will be invited to stand by their posters and present their research and/or answer some questions addressed to you by the conference participants and a selected judging panel during a selected time slot on 27 July. For the presentation, business cards and A4-sized versions of the poster may be used as handouts. No other handouts may be used.
The judging panel will be comprised of University of Warwick academics with experience of working on collaborative research projects with Indonesian counterparts. The panel will use the following criteria to choose the winner and runner-up: (1) the impact of the research project; (2) how effectively the research project has been communicated; (3) the potential of the project to enhance UK-Indonesia research collaboration.
Votes for the 'people's choice' winner will be collected from visitors to the Showcase. The 'people's choice' prize will be awarded based on the total number of votes received via Facebook and from Showcase attendees.
The winner and one runner-up of the competition will be decided based on the scores of the judging panel at the Showcase. The winners and runners-up of the poster competition will be announced during the afternoon programme of the ISIC-SI conference, and the awards made in person.
