Graduation week comes early to Warwick

After celebrating the last day of term with the nursery traditional end of term party, more than 50 children attended their own graduation ceremony, presided over by the Vice-Chancellor and with their parents and family members looking on.

Debbie Castle, Nursery Manager, said:

This is always a time in the nursery calendar which is filled with joy and sadness, we all enjoy a good part but are sad to be saying goodbye to families that may have been with us for a long time. Having the Vice Chancellor presents the certificates makes the event very special for everyone.

We wish the children every happiness for the future and hope they will be able to visit us whenever they come back to the campus.

Each child received a Leavers Certificate and their Learning Journal, which is a photographic record of their time in nursery. Many of the children are leaving the nursery this summer to begin their school life in “Big School”, while others are returning home following their own parents’ graduation as their degrees come to an end.

Professor Sir Nigel Thrift said:

It’s always fun to be part of the childrens special day. Their graduation is a time to look forward and I wish all the children and their families the best of luck in “Big School.”
