New £5.5m national Institute of Technical Skills and Strategy to support UK’s bid to be a global research and innovation superpower

A new £5.5 million national institute is to be launched to ensure that the UK has the technical capability and capacity across academia, research, education, and innovation to enable the UK to be a global superpower in science, engineering, and the creative industries.

Warwick Student Chayn Kohli’s work toward improving gender equality began when she was just 14 in India.

Second-year BSc Management student Chayn Kohli is the Winner of the Student Award for excellence in gender equality 2022 and has been recognised for her work in India as well as at the University of Warwick. Her work began when she was just 14, working with underprivileged families in India educating women and girls in maths and English, as well as women’s health topics that are considered taboo, like menstruation and hygiene.


University of Warwick recognised for commitment to race equality

The University of Warwick has achieved the Race Equality Charter Bronze award, recognising its commitment to working towards race equality.

The national charter mark, awarded by Advance HE, marks an institutional determination to tackle race inequality at all levels.
