Ten subjects named in the world's top 50

The QS World University Rankings by Subject published today, March 8th 2017, has declared 10 subjects at the University of Warwick to be in the world’s top 50 – with one in the top 20.

  • Statistics (& Operational Research) 24th
  • Business & Management Studies (WBS) 26th 
  • Economics 25th
  • History 31st
  • Accounting & Finance (WBS) 32nd
  • Mathematics 40th
  • Sociology 44th
  • Politics & International Studies 44th
  • Modern Languages 50th

Commenting on the news Warwick’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Stuart Croft, said:

“Having ten subjects in the world’s top 50, including English Language and Literature in the top 20, once more demonstrates the University of Warwick’s global reputation for research, teaching and scholarship excellence”.

For this sixth edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject, evaluated 4,438 universities and ranked 1107 institutions in total.

Over 127 million citations attributions were analysed and they verified the provision of over 18,900 programs. For more information click here.
