Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)

ptes2017 thank you

Thank you for taking the time to complete the national Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)!

Over 2,400 postgraduate taught students participated in the survey this year (34% of the total population). Your participation in this survey is greatly valued and will contribute to the continuous enhancement of postgraduate taught degree provision at Warwick. Thanks to your feedback we have been able to make a number of enhancements to the postgraduate experience.

As a thank you for completing PTES, all respondents were entered into a prize draw to win one of twenty £20 Amazon vouchers or a Postgraduate Summer Ball ticket (worth £45).

PTES ran from 14 March - 16 June 2017.

2017 PTES

PTES 2017 Aggregate

Warwick ranked above average for overall satisfaction compared to the Sector.

Areas to be celebrated include Engagement, with 81% satisfaction, and Organisation, with 76% satisfaction, both above the Sector average.

Areas for further improvement include Dissertation and Assessment.

Academic and central departments will be asked to consider the survey results to complete action plans. All departments are expected to communicate the survey outcomes and engage with students to formulate their action plans throughout the entire academic year and not just after the survey has completed.

Thank you once again for taking the time to have your say, we look forward to using these results to make improvements to your student experience.

2016 PTES

Along with helping us to identify key areas that need further development, the results showed compared to the Sector our students were particularly positive about: promptness of feedback, access to subject specific resources and access to general IT resources.
