List C: Use of the Seymour formula

The following departments permit students to take additional credit on the undergraduate courses listed at www.warwick.ac.uk/services/academicoffice/quality/courseregs, subject to approval from the relevant department.  Course information provided by the relevant department confirms the year(s) of study in which additional credit may be taken and the number of additional credits that may be taken.  The Seymour formula shall be applied in determining degree classifications for students who choose to take such additional credit:

Biological Sciences
Chemistry
Computer Science
Engineering
Mathematics
Physics
Statistics

With respect to the following joint degrees in the above departments, course information provided by the relevant department confirms the year(s) of study in which additional credit may be taken and the number of additional credits that may be taken. In determining degree classifications, the Seymour formula shall only be applied to credit gained in those years of study in which additional credit may be taken and for students who choose to take additional credit:

Computer and Management Sciences
Computer and Business Studies
Chemistry and Business Studies
Chemistry with Management
Engineering and Business Studies
Mathematics and Business Studies
Physics and Business Studies
Mathematics and Philosophy
Mathematics and Philosophy with Specialism in Logic and Functions
