Brief Description

To teach the basic skill requirements and associated job safety knowledge to operators of counterbalance fork lift and reach trucks.

At the course end successful delegates should be able to operate their machines both safely and efficiently.

Who is it for?

Those that have no experience or less than 6 months experience in the operation of a fork lift truck, but who need to operate a fork lift truck as part of their duties.

What will the participant get out of it?

Successful delegates will be awarded a Certificate of Training in Basic Practical Skill and Ability. A Comprehensive Course Manual and Safety Code will be issued to each delegate.

How many places?

Up to 3 persons, but if this many attendees, the course length will be 5 days. For 2 persons, the course duration will be 4 days. For 1 person, the course duration will be 3 days. Note the costs are given as a daily rate, so persons will be charged according to numbers.

Cost?

Approx £245/day + £5/person for certification + £15 fuel/mileage.

Note that the University would need to provide its own fork lift truck for the training; otherwise an additional hire charge will be applied.
