Equality and fairness

The University encourages a positive working environment for everyone. The Dignity at Warwick policy outlines your responsibility as a member of staff to treat everyone around you with respect. In the rare occasions that this doesn't happen in return, it also outlines how you can access support.

Pay and benefits

The majority of staff are paid on the 24th of each month, and your payslip is sent to your department. More details are available on our Pay and Expenses pages.

There are a number of reward and benefits of working for the University which you may wish to access, as well as information on pensions.

Expenses

Claims for expenses are processes by our payroll team. More information can be found here.

Holidays

Your contract outlines what holiday allowance you have for this holiday year (our holiday year runs from 1 October to 30 September). You must book holiday in advance and in agreement with your line manager. More information can be found here.

Sickness

You should report sickness to your line manager on the first day of sickness and keep in touch after that. More information on absence can be found here.

Conflicts of interest

During your employment there may be times when there may be a conflict of interest between your work and personal life. This policy outlines the actions you must take when this happens.

Probation

Any probation requirement will be outlined in your contract. Full details are available on our probationary schemes.

Use of IT facilities

If your job involves use of the University's IT facilities, you should be aware of the University's policies on their use.

Annual Review

All staff take part in an our Development and Performance Review, once they have completed their probation. Annual review allows all staff to review achievement, agree targets, identify training and development need and discuss career aspirations.
