• The Antivirus program ClamAV is provided.
• The contents of your home directory is not automatically scanned for viruses.

You can scan the contents of your home directory using the command:

$ clamscan --recursive --infected ~/

A warning will be displayed for any infected files found.

To check just one file use

$ clamscan filename

Note that ClamAV will only warn of infection, it cannot clean the file.

Incoming and outgoing email is scanned for viruses by the University mail relays.
