Writing Questions

There are 3 ways of authoring questions using Perception:

Using Word Templates (easiest):

It is possible to create questions using templates provided upon request (please email perception@warwick.ac.uk) This method requires no knowledge of Perception itself and allows you to enter questions into ready-to-use templates. This allows you to create the following question types:

  • Multiple Choice
  • True/False
  • Yes/No
  • Likert Scale
Using a Windows-based authoring tool:

This method uses the Perception authoring software, installed on your desktop, to create questions. It allows you access to all of Perception's functions, including all question types. The software uses a number of specially designed Wizards to help you create the questions in the most painless way possible.

Using a Web-based authoring tool:

This allows you to create questions online without having to install the Perception software on your computer. However it only gives access to a limited number of Perception's functions.
