Standard Server Provision

Below is the standard service provision for Windows 2016 Servers. Provision may vary upon particular requirements for your server.

Server Support

We provide support for the base OS

SQL

MS SQL 2016

DB Admin

Depending upon the application we can provide some assistance for Best Practices. Application support should provide DB support if required

Web server

IIS using .Net ASP

App Install

We can provide assistance for installing an application within our environment, this should however be done via a 3rd party support provider

App Support

Application support requires a 3rd party application support contract

Multiple Environments (i.e. Live, Test, Dev)

Available upon agreement though the user requirements process

Resilience

The server runs upon a VMware cluster, upon any fail over it may take 2-3 minutes while the server is automatically booted up on another cluster node

Backup

Backup Retention

Dailies kept for 2 weeks. Weeklies kept for 2 months, monthlies for 12 months.

Documents

Application documents may need to be completed by the user/supplier.

Scheduled Down Time

There will be small amounts of regular downtime to allow the install of critical updates for Windows. These are scheduled to occur during the night (3am usually). Any additional maintenance periods will be agreed with the application/system owner.

 

Service Hours: Service is available 24x7. Support is Mon-Fri: 9:00 till 17:30.

Services are designed to be up 24 hours a day 365 days a year. To ensure this, there are Hardware Health Checks, strict Firewall rules, Anti-Malware / Anti-Virus protection, regular Patching and System Health Checks.
