Description:The purpose is to implement a solution to replace the Mirkwood applicationsService Improvements: Improved resilience of the administration of the Telephone exchange and Telephony service.Reduction in manual data entry thereby reducing effort and the risk of errorReduction in the number of systems provided by IT Services for provision of contact detailsRemoval of the risks arising from a business critical application having no formal supportCurrent Status:The project is at the Stage Gate 2 Submitted & Pending.Time Scales:Completion 2012. Service Now to replace the Telephone (MAC)

Service Improvements:Improve the University Telephone MAC process.

Current status:Acceptance and testing identified two issues.Prevent Go-Live issues,which meant the live date of the 31st Oct has been delayed.Code on S.N has been updated to account for these issues.Next testing w/c 7th November.Go-Live provisionally planned for the w/c 21st Nov 201.

Time Scales:Completion Nov 2011.

Service Improvements:Ordering of new lines ,moving lines,deleting lines and phone equipment etc,will soon be done via the Service now application.The final testing and implementation of this service due to go live by the end of Nov 2011.
