Calling Line Identity

Calling Line Identity and Warwick MobileNet

CLI is the display of the telephone number of the caller on the handset of the person they are calling. This works with all mobile handsets and Mitel Digital/IP desk phones that have an LCD display. On Warwick mobile phones and desk phones, CLI works as follows:-

Calling from the Campus phone system TO a Warwick MobileNet handset

The 5 digit extension number (e.g. 71111) is displayed on the screen of the mobile phone
Note: this currently only works if the 5 digit extension number (e.g. 47777) is dialled by the caller for those users with 07876, 07824,07920 XXXXXX mobile numbers.

Calling from a Warwick MobileNet handset TO Campus phone system

The 5 digit extension number of the Warwick MobileNet handset (e.g. 47777) is displayed on the screen of all Mitel Digital/IP handsets with an LCD display together with the word "Vodafone" (where there is room), so 47777 calling would show "47777 VODAFONE"

Calling between two Warwick MobileNet handsets

The 5 digit extension number of the Warwick MobileNet handset (e.g. 47777) is displayed on the screen of the mobile phone.
Note: the number may appear on the screen without the name of the caller if the full mobile number is stored in the address book of the phone. The solution is to ADD the 5 digit extension number of the mobile to the address book as part of the record for that person. Note if you still need to text the person concerned then please retain the full 07876 21... number as text messages cannot yet be sent to 5 digit extension numbers.
