Entries and reviews have a maximum character limit of 32,000 characters. If you type more than 32,000 characters into the large text box, when you click on the entry will not be published.

Instead you will see a line of red text appear above ' Text of entry', for example:

If this message appears you must edit your entry down to a maximum of 32,000 characters before you will be able to publish it successfully.

Example: You might have a particularly long entry, maybe the first draft of an essay you are writing. If you go over the character limit you could divide the essay up and make a second entry for the remaining text.
