HearNow FAQs

Why do you want my opinion?

We developed HearNow as a way to quickly and accurately understand the views of our community so that we can develop and improve the services you use.

How will I know if you've changed anything or if my views have made any difference?

We'll normally put a notice on the HearNow home page to tell you about improvements related to the polls that you've completed.

When do I get my money?

Any Eating at Warwick credit you've earned will be automatically transferred to your Eating at Warwick account at the end of every month. If you want to use it before then, you can redeem it on your HearNow profile page after completing a poll which brings your credit to at least £1.

Why haven't I had any snap polls recently?

We'll only notify you of a poll if it fits into one of the categories you've said you're interested in on your HearNow profile page. It's possible that at present the polls have been mostly in categories you've asked us not to contact you about.

How do I invite a friend?

Assuming your friend is a member of the University, just send them a link to hearnow.warwick.ac.uk - they can sign up straight away. HearNow is not currently available to people who aren't members of the University.

Who do I contact if I want to do my own snap poll?

If you'd like to run your own snap poll, please complete our request form. Snap polls should be short and to the point - have a look at our guidelines if you need some advice on how to think about yours.

Who do I tell if something's broken?

Email HearNow@warwick.ac.uk and we'll take a look.

What badges are available?

You can get a star rating for how many polls you complete, plus a range of badges you can unlock for completing different types of polls, speed, frequency and style. See how many you can collect!

How do I get into focus groups?

We will select our list of invitees based on the topic of the focus group, the preferences you've set up in your profile and other factors like the number of snap polls you've completed. If there's a focus group coming up that we think will be of interest to you, we'll be in touch.

For focus groups related to a particular snap poll you will also need to have indicated after completing that you're happy for the poll author to contact you, otherwise we won't know who you are.

How do I update my profile?

You can do this at any time on your HearNow profile page.
