Template content placeholder

When you edit surrounding content in some page templates, you see <content placeholder> in the visual editor:

Content placeholder in editor

The content placeholder represents where the dynamic content appears on the page. The dynamic content depends on the page template in use – for example, news, a form or discussion forum.

You can add your text and images before or after the content placeholder. We refer to this as ‘editing the surrounding content’.

Take care not to delete the placeholder. If you delete it by mistake, when you publish the page SiteBuilder adds the dynamic content beneath any other content on the page.
