ERASMUS Staff Training
Academic and non academic staff can travel to a European HEI or enterprise for a week.

 

Funding for CCSG & Estates staff development

The University may contribute towards funding for further education, vocational or professional qualifications that are considered relevant to an individual's present role or agreed development pathway. The Funding and Leave Guidelines outline the required criteria for this support. A Learning Contract must be signed by the individual seeking funding, confirming acceptance of the conditions; a copy of this and the Application for Funding form must be returned to the CCSG & E Learning & Development Team for authorisation.

The University may contribute funding subject to the requirement that staff that leave the University's service within a specifed period of obtaining their qualification must pay back a proportion of the fees contributed by the University as set out below:

Leaving University Employment % of fees to be reimbursed
Before completion of qualification 100%
Within 1 year of completion 50%
Between 1 and 2 years of completion 25%
More than 2 years after completion 0%

 

Where a contribution is made by the University towards course fees, a formal offer will be made which makes clear the requirement to repay fees in the event of the staff member leaving the University


 Awards and Bursaries

pgr Warwick Awards for Teaching Excellence for Postgraduate Research Students (WATEPGR)
Opportunity for staff and students to recognise, reward and celebrate the excellent teaching by Postgraduate Research Students. Research students can carry out a range of teaching activities including facilitating seminars, demonstrating and project supervision.
WATE LOGO 2013-14 Warwick Awards for Teaching Excellence (WATE)
Designed to be aligned with the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme, the WATEs provide students and colleagues with the opportunity to recognise and celebrate individual excellence in teaching and the support of learning.

National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS)
Individual awards recognise and reward excellence in teaching, providing an award of £10, 000 for personal development in learning and teaching. The project strand provides institutions with the opportunity to work with National Teaching Fellows for the benefit of the institution and the wider sector. Up to £200 000 is available for a project lasting up to three years.
