Current issues affecting Library Search

Unable to add tags to records in Library Search

Issue: Library Search allows users to "tag" catalogue records of interest so that they can be retrieved later by searching for the tag. Unfortunately tagging is no longer possible due to a bug. Tags previously added to resources are still visible and findable when searching Library Search. However the process of adding a new tag does not work.

Work around: There is no workaround at present.

Resolution: The supplier of Library Search is working on a fix but we do not have a confirmed date for this.

Library Search does not display Library Account information when accessed on a mobile phone

Issue: Checkouts, holds and other information are not shown in the My Library Account area of Library Search when using the mobile version of the site. This version is autmatically selected for users accessing on a mobile phone.

Work around: To view your Library Account correctly on a mobile phone you can either switch to the full Library Search site or use Classic Catalogue which offers a mobile friendly version of the account with full functionality. Desktop access to account information via Library Search is not affected.

Resolution: The supplier of Library Search have told us that they are working to resolve this issue. We have stressed the importance of this but as yet no date has been given for a fix.
