Research skills for Psychology
This tutorial is divided into eight sections and offers advice on how to develop a search strategy, how to use specialist databases such as PsycInfo and Web of Science to find relevant research articles to support your assignments and guidance on saving search strategies and creating update alerts. The final sections concentrate on how to select and evaluate the information you have found and how to manage your references using the EndNote Online software.
The Medline tutorial takes you through the process of creating a search strategy and implementing the search in Medline, the premier medical database. You will learn how to select appropriate keywords, combine them together to create an effective strategy and how to evaluate your search results. You will have the opportunity to conduct a search and obtain feedback on your progress through an interactive quiz. You need to allow up to 30 minutes to complete the tutorial.
