Scholarship Auditions

Candidates should choose and prepare two contrasting pieces, of total duration approx 8 minutes, to demonstrate their standard of technique and musicianship. If offering two instruments or instrument and voice, one work should be prepared on each.

The interview will be conducted by a panel of around five members of staff, these are usually: the Director of Music, the Assistant Director of Music, a member of the Coull String Quartet (Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Warwick), and one or more members of the instrumental and vocal teaching staff, as appropriate. The aims of the interview are to discover how committed the candidate is to music, and to allow the candidate time to talk about their musical background, interests and ambitions.
